I am a K-12 Spanish & ESL teacher specializing in Technology in Education and Social-Emotional Learning. Born in Spain, with a European passport, and currently working as a Middle School Spanish Teacher and Advisor in the US since August 2017.

A vocational teacher from an early age, I got my degree in languages and my master's degree in teaching Secondary Education at Alicante University. I started my professional career as a group leader for the Swedish company STS organizing and leading language travels in the UK for European students learning English. Next, I continued teaching  Spanish and English in public High Schools in Spain (Grades 7/12), developing curriculum and preparing students for University access exams. After 10 years, I pursued my dream of teaching internationally and I accepted an offer to work as a Middle School (Grades 5/8) Spanish Teacher and Advisor at "The San Francisco School" in California, where my task has been to implement a new Spanish Program that would fulfill the Mission of the school towards multiculturalism and inspiration to learn new languages and preparing pupils for High School placement tests and external examinations as well as mentoring other teachers using technology in education.

During my time in SFS, I was assigned a tech coach from “Knowing Technologies” (a company that partners with schools to implement the use of technology in education) and, apart from creating a new Spanish curriculum, I developed a successful Exchange Global Learning Community for Language Students and I had the opportunity to present it at different workshops through the Bay Area and Silicon Valley. My work had a big impact and was promoted by my Visa Sponsor “Cultural Vistas” (based in Washington DC). Finally, apart from the school, I work as an online private tutor preparing High School students for A-Levels, IGCSE, and International Baccalaureate exams and I collaborate with the Cervantes Institute in the SF Consulate, organizing and grading the official Spanish DELE exams for all ages and levels.

I consider myself a global citizen and I thrive living and teaching abroad, sharing my language and culture with international students.
